Ingredients
1 1/2 Cups (200g) Plain Flour Plus extra for rolling out
1/2 Cup (125g) Unsalted Butter cubed
1/3 Cup (70g) Caster Sugar
1 Egg
1-2 Tablespoons Chilled Water
Put the flour and butter into a food processor and blend just until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs then add the sugar and briefly blitz to combine.
Add the egg and blend just until it is combined then add a little of the chilled water, (start with a tablespoonful but you may need a fraction more), whilst blending, until the mixture comes together into a ball.
Tip the ball out onto a floured surface and sprinkle a little flour over the top. You can then roll the pastry into the shape you need and line the pastry case(s). You will then need to chill the pastry before baking in the oven.
